Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle

I found this amazing anime, after I finished reading Cardcaptor Sakura: Master Of The Clow.
When I found it, I was in the bookstore, and immediately grabbed it along with XxxHolic (Another good anime, but I'll get into more detail about it later.) However, I haven't seen much of the anime, as I've seen of the manga. Anyway, here's my thoughts on this spectacular anime:

Again, CLAMP did an excellent job! The plot was awesome; it's so different and it automatically draws you in, as soon as you open the first page. Then the artwork was really good (Although I can't say the same for the first season of the anime.) Then, the secrets that are later revealed in the Tokyo Revelations arc will leave people shocked; which, I thought it was good, in the sense, because I didn't expect it.

I really don't have any complaints. However, people might not like how the once happy characters, dramactically become darker, or how there is much more blood in the latest volumes.

All in all, I would give this amazing series a five out of five!

Pixie Pop

I had started this interesting series two years ago, and here are my thoughts on this interesting series:

One, the art was very well done! The plot was good, the characters were adorable, and it had a cute ending.

On the other hand, I thought the series could've kept going (It only lasted three volumes). Then, I didn't like how crazy the main character, Mayu, was about her crush; She kind of acted like a stalker.

All in all, I would give this a three out of five.

Cardcaptor Sakura

I started to watch this amazing anime three years ago, and I instantly fell in love with it. As usual, Clamp did an amazing job! Here's my thoughts on the series:

The characters are so lovable and endearing. The way Cardcaptor Sakura began in both the manga and anime are different, but it's interesting that way. Then, I really loved the plot. It's certainly different than the normal shoujo. I also liked how instead Clamp made Sakura into a cardcaptor, instead of a witch ( I thought it was very creative). Also, I liked how Clamp and the director decided to put the final part into the second movie. It really makes you more anxious to see how Sakura and Syaoran get together. Finally, the artwork Clamp did in the manga (I wasn't in love with the artwork for the anime) was beautiful!

On the other hand, As I said before, I wasn't in love with the artwork for the anime. Then, the first movie where Sakura goes to China, I thought that it was a bit of a disapointment. I expected there would be something going on that would be important to Sakura (Like she gains a new power or something). Sadly, it's something you don't have to watch to know what's going on in the story.
All in all, I would rate this five out of five.

Gakuen Alice

I started watching this interesting series when my summer break began, and I was very bored with nothing to do. So, I heard from some people how good it is. Interested, I watched the entire first season (The second is coming in 2009), and here's my thoughts:

For one, the characters in the story all have unique traits that makes them very interesting and lovable. The plot was also good, and the art in the anime (Unlike the manga, much to my disapointment) was good. In a way, it was something a little different.

However, it was a little like Harry Potter in the sense that they all go to a private school, but they're never allowed to leave the school. Then, it's kind of like X-Men, because the students have special abilities (They're not witches/wizards). Finally, it's a little like Fruits Basket because there's a love triangle between Mikan, Ruka, and Natsume (Only, you know Mikan will choose Natsume.)

I would give this one a four out of five.

Fruits Basket

I had gotten the complete series for my thirteenth birthday, a few years ago. It definately was a very good series. The artwork was also, good (However, Yuki didn't look really girly in the anime as much as he did in the book), and the plot was good, the characters are lovable (Except maybe for Akito), and the humor in the show was funny (Especially Kagura).

On the other hand, the series only lasts up to volume 6 in the manga. Because of that, some secrets that are reveiled in the manga series, aren't shown in the anime ( I suppose that's because the manga wasn't either created yet, or the series hadn't got to those points.) Also, it isn't very clear who Tohru loves in the anime, than in the manga. I would recommend this to someone who can live with very mild romance in the show, and more comedy.

I would rate this four out of five.

Pretear

Okay, I just watched Pretear about a month ago or so, and I thought it was good for the most part. The artwork is good, and it certainly kept me interested until the end (Which it lasted only thirteen episodes. I would usually say that it was too short, but I think it was a good idea because if it lasted longer, than it would've just gotten boring).

On the other hand, it reminded me of Sailor Moon (Which for Sailor Moon fans, I think you would like a lot), and it was too much like Cinderella and Snow White. Then, for those who like tragic endings, then you might not like Pretear.

All in all, I would give it a three out of five.

Hello everyone! I am starting a new blog, which talks about my favorite subject, ANIME. This is sort of a review of the Animes I have seen, as well as the Manga books I have read. There is lots in store! Thanks for visiting my blog!
